Hello!
I'm starting a convention in 2018 and some convention organizers contacted me and told me I should change my two day convention to a one day convention because I'll lose too much money and more than likely fail since I'm a first year.
Would you recommend the same?
There have been plenty of successful one, two, AND three day conventions out there. Without knowing anything else about your convention, I think their reasoning sounds completely ridiculous.
...but you're waiting until 2018, so there's PLENTY of time to get organized and plan. That's good!
